The Invocation

This is written for all of the women and goddesses in the world, because we need their strength more than ever. Imagine what this world would be like if every single woman was fully empowered and comfortable with herself, her sexuality, her resourcefulness and strength, her prowess… Bring it, ladies. Bring it out. I invoke you.

The Invocation is a multi-track recording, so the song changes slightly when heard live. The baseline or timing doesn’t change, nor the mood; just the melodic notes. I’ve played this song for many years, and I have never played it the same way twice.

Helixa

A samurai warrior at night, in the rain. He kneels pensively with one hand on his sword, meditating. It is the night before the battle. What do you see?

Helixa is one track, and uses tremolo bowing techniques with lots of reverb manipulation and a wah effect.

Battle Cry

Welcome to the battlefield.

This song is one track, one take. I built the loop before we started recording, so if you hear it live you’ll hear it from the start. We used lots of effects: Overdrive, reverb, wah, more overdrive…

15 Aftermaths

The long, complex journey that leads us home. This is the first song I ever wrote, when I was 15-years-old.

There are very few effects used. In the beginning, there is a delay and a phaser modulation, but once the tremolo begins, it is simply the viola.
