This morning I received an emotional email from a fan in Croatia that was very moving. This past Saturday there was a protest march in the streets of Croatia because of a referendum on same-sex marriage which passed, and the Croatian Constitution now defines marriage as a union between a man and a woman. After the protestors marched the streets, they gathered in their town square. At that moment, my song ‘Unconditional’ played in the city speakers, loud and clear. How exciting that my music could fuel such an important moment in Croatia’s culture.
The person who wrote me thanked me for this song, shared what it was like to hear ‘Unconditional’ blasting through their city in such a political moment, and for these words I shared in the package of my first CD, which includes the song:
What an honor, I am so moved… If you want to listen to ‘Unconditional’ again or for the first time, click the player below.
